I was born at St. Marys' Hospital in 1941 and have lived in Enid, Oklahoma all my life. I graduated from McKinley Grade School, Emerson Junior High, and in 1959 graduated from Enid High School. I also attended Phillips University for 2 and 1/2 years. After joining the Army National Guard and serving my active duty I was in the 45th Infantry Division National Guard for 8 years. I was in the band.
I married my wife Sandra in 1964 and have two grown daughters which have given us 4 grandchildren.
I joined our family business around 1962 and in 1967 our business was incorporated. I have been Vice-President of Crabbs Transport, Incorporated for many years. Enid has been very good to us on a personal basis and also in our business. Crabbs Transport, Inc. was located many years on South van Buren but two years ago our business expanded enough that we found a new home for us near Woodring Airport.
I have been very much involved in my church. My church is a very important part of my life. I have been Deacon, Elder, and currently Property Chairman and serve on the church board. I am a member of the Air Force Association, board member of "Christmas In Action", member of the Enid High School Alumni Association, and member of AMBUCS. I was chosen by then Senator Milacek to be a member of the 'Small Business Commission 300' under the direction of Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallen. I was awarded the Governor's Commendation by then Governor Frank Keating. I am currently serving on the Enid Public Transportation Authority, Enid Metropolitan Area Human Service Commission (Metro Commission), and the Long Term Care Authority. Several years ago, I have served on the Enid Traffic Committee for 6 years.
I promise to support the citizens in my Ward 1, work with all the other commissioners, mayor, and the city staff. I will always keep an open mind in making the right decisions concerning the infrastructure and economic development within the City of Enid government.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to be Ward 1 Commissioner and your neighbor!
