CORRECTION to Enid on the Move Story
Posted Date: 7/2/2012 3:00 PM
ENID, OK (June 29, 2012) - In the current Enid on the Move (page 12), there is a list of items that the Recycle Center is supposed to take from citizens. However, they do not take ALL of those items, though they may have in the past.

The Recycle Center take only types 1 & 2 plastic, cardboard, paper, aluminum and tin cans, and at this time they are also taking car tires that originate from residential properties (no commercial). Glass can be disposed of in the trash due to its inability for recycling. Many recycle centers do not recycle glass due to freight costs and number of glass manufacturing companies. Oil, appliances and paint can be dropped off at the landfill gate and most of it is recycled (just not through the recycling center).

The City of Enid apologies for any inconvenience this mistake may have caused citizens.
