Enid Renaissance Public Design Charette

ENID, OK (February 1, 2011) – The City of Enid announces a series of public design charettes regarding the proposed Enid Renaissance project. The charettes are being held in conjunction with Convergence Design and will be open to the public. The charettes will take place over the course of two days in the Chisholm Trail Room at the Cherokee Strip Conference Center.

Charrette is a term used by architects to describe an intensive design workshop, typically held near the start of a project, during which aspirations for the projects and functional needs are combined into an initial design approach.

“The charrette format allows the design team to receive immediate feedback and refine the design in real time,” said Convergence Design principal David Greusel. “It’s a fun process that really benefits from citizen involvement.”

Previously, Convergence Design of Overland Park, Kansas was selected as the architectural firm for the $20 million Enid Downtown Renaissance.
