The IT Department’s mission is to provide quality IT infrastructure support for the current and future needs of the City of Enid's staff and citizens. The areas of support include:
Desktop Computing: IT assists with the procurement, implementation and ongoing support of most desktop computers used by the City of Enid staff. This includes repairs, maintenance, upgrades and other technical hardware and client software support.
Data and Voice Communication: IT provides full service support for both the data and voice networks across the city. This support includes all internal building network infrastructures.
Central Application Support: IT is responsible for several major central software applications used by staff.
Application Development: IT is responsible for building, deploying and managing all databases and web applications used by staff, citizens and vendors.
Staff Computing Labs: The IT Department maintains a computer lab with PC desktop systems and printer access for staff use which is located in City Hall.
As part of the core services, IT maintains a Web Help Desk to support staff and citizens. The Web Help Desk provides a single point-of-contact for initiating support requests.
