Description: Reviews and makes recommendations to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners regarding development related issues.
Purpose: The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission (MAPC) is responsible for reviewing and recommending to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners, various development proposals which include changes in zoning designation, subdivision plats, and site development plans. MAPC also reviews proposed changes to the development codes of the City, and establishes long-range development policies for the City and urbanized areas outside the City.
Qualifications: Nine members comprised of the following:
Terms of Office: Three years.
