Dr. William (Bill) Simon M.D. graduated from Alva, Oklahoma High School and attended 3 years at Alva, Oklahoma, NWOSU. He graduated from medical school at Oklahoma University. Bill continued his medical education with residency at Ohio State University. He was an Eagle Scout, National Honor Society president, and President of his senior class and served 2 years in the Air Force as flight surgeon for the 506th Strategic Fighter Wing.
Dr. Simon established medical practice in Enid, Oklahoma in 1959 and practiced for the next 56 years. He served as medical director for the Enid State School until its closure. He was an author of several medical journal articles and was recognized for many awards including America’s Outstanding Pediatricians, Best Doctor in America, and 1st recipient of Oklahoma’s Outstanding Practicing Pediatrician Award. Dr. Simon has served on several state commissions and governor appointed committees.
Bill served as president of the Grand National Quail Club, and a member of the Grand National Quail Club Hall of Fame.
His family includes 8 children, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
