R.S. Baker, Jr., (Brud Baker) is the Chairman and CEO of Central Service Corporation and its subsidiary Central National Bank and Trust Company of Enid (CNB). Brud has been committed to the banking industry for over 40 years. The majority of that time has been in service with CNB. Brud’s leadership successfully led the Bank through Oklahoma’s most devastating banking crisis, “The Oil Bust” of 1986. Since then the Bank has experienced consistent growth under his supervision, touting assets currently of over $611 million.
In addition to his years of dedicated service to CNB, Baker has pledged his commitment to demonstrating the importance of continued education in banking arena. As such, over the years he has been an instructor at numerous banking schools conducted by both the Oklahoma Bankers’ and American Bankers’ Associations.
Baker’s commitment to the community of Enid, Oklahoma, is substantially documented as well. His past service includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce; President of the Joint Industrial Foundation; Chairman of the Board of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center; and Chairman of the local United Way campaign. He also provides continuing support and leadership to various other civic organizations.
Baker received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of Colorado in 1965. He also has a graduate degree in International Finance from the Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, AZ.
