Release of Property & Evidence
If you are seeking the release of property or evidence that was seized or recovered by the Enid Police Department, including lost and found property, you must start by contacting an Evidence Technician. They will determine the property status and its eligibility for release. Generally, the property must first be cleared for release by the District Attorney’s Office or the City Attorney’s Office. Unfortunately, the release of property is not usually a quick process and will require you to schedule time at a later date to pick up the property.
Property will only be released to the owner or someone that has written, notarized, authorization by the owner. Proper identification is required. Firearms will only be released to owners who can legally possess them.
For more information, or to begin the process of getting your property released, please contact the listed Evidence Technicians by phone, email, or in person at 301 W. Owen K. Garriott.
