The City of Enid’s Adopt-A-Street Program allows local families, businesses, and community groups to perform a valuable community service by adopting sections of a street to keep clear of litter and debris. Groups who participate in the Adopt-A Street Program will have their name listed on the City’s website and signage will be installed on their adopted street. Even though monetary tributes are appreciated, the real reward is taking pride in your community and knowing that you are part of a team that keeps Enid beautiful. Through a collaborative effort, we can all make a positive difference in the appearance and health of this great city.

Why Adopt?

• Enid is growing by leaps and bounds, and the surging population means more cars on our roadways and, unfortunately, more trash.
• Although nearly 70 percent of litter on Enid streets is removed by City Employees, volunteer efforts significantly reduce litter cleanup costs and save taxpayers money.
• It's a free, easy way for groups to help beautify their communities.

Who Should Adopt?

Individuals, families, youth organizations, businesses (large and small), civic and non-profit organizations, religious groups, fraternities, sororities, schools…everyone should take pride in our beautiful City and Adopt-a-Street.

 Participation is simple:

• You adopt a one-mile stretch of highway for a minimum of two years.
• You agree to pick up litter at least four times per year.
• Adopt-a-Street signs will be posted with your group’s name at your adopted section. Note: Group or individual must conduct one clean up before Adopt-A-Street Sign can be installed.

• Required documentation and advanced notification must be submitted prior to any clean up activity.

• Group or individual must agree with adoption terms and sign a contractual agreement.
• Adopt-a-Street will provide your volunteers with safety vests, litter bags and safety training.
• You will bask in the glory of claiming a piece of Enid pride.
